What is AI homepage
AI homepage is an inline AI assistant that appears directly on your store's homepage. It greets visitors with suggested questions and an instant chat interface, helping them explore your products through conversation.
Why use AI homepage
Your homepage is the entry point for most visitors. Adding AI here means:
- Customers can start exploring products immediately through conversation
- AI handles common questions (shipping, returns, product recommendations) before customers even reach a product page
- More engagement opportunities at the top of the funnel, leading to better conversion
How to set up AI homepage
Before you start, make sure:
- AI assistant is activated
- Training data is synced (products, collections, store information)
Go to AI Assistant → Settings
In the Embed homepage AI assistant section, turn on the toggle
Click Go to theme
The "AI assistant homepage" block will be added to your homepage
Customize the block appearance and suggested questions
Click Save
When you update store information, the suggested questions may not auto-update. Contact us for the latest updates.
Will this work if AI assistant is not activated?
No, you need to activate AI assistant first. The homepage chat is an extension of your AI assistant and uses the same data sources and settings.
Can I customize the suggested questions?
The questions are automatically generated by AI based on your store data. To influence the questions, improve your store information and add detailed data about your products and policies.
Does this replace the main chatbox?
No, this works alongside your main chatbox. Customers can still access the full chatbox through your chat widget button. The homepage AI is focused on helping visitors explore your store.
